I am a writer of short stories, and a student, who is perhaps too fond of watching movies and spending time on the Internets. I spend a lot of time on Newgrounds, and I've attempted but generally failed to learn flash. There isn't really much else to say.

I am very proud of myself for making something this awesome. Usually when I have an idea this good I fuck it up, but not this time. NOT THIS TIME.
My computer can't run Fallout 3.....go on....without me!

I've been reading some of my posts (recent and old, though it's more noticeable in the old ones), and I've come to the realization that about 90% of the time I type something I end up sounding like a complete fucking moron. Also: why are there so few good topics in the Politics forum these days?

Everybody seems to be buzzing about Heath Ledger, but i just went to see it because it's Batman. Ledger did do an amazing job though, in fact good acting all around and great special effects really made the movie. I'm not really sure any of this merits a post but i figure i should at least say SOMETHING since it's been a long time since i saw Iron Man. I'd say something here about E3, but i couldn't tell anyone anything they didn't already know. All i can say is that I'll be astounded if i have any money left at all by the winter. Umm......anything else? Not really. Here's where i say something witty or sarcastic to say goodbye to my nonexistent readers, but all i can really say is this: if you haven't already then go see the Dark Knight. Now. Do it. WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE? Oh wait...you were never here to begin with.

I went to see Iron Man on friday (not the first showing, but still premiere day) with my friend Adrian. It was pretty awesome. Iron Man is one of those movies that people go to just to see stuff blow up, and in that regard i think they succeeded. They kept the plot of the comic books for the most part (except the ending), and even though they did have normal scenes between the action and explosions, it didn't seem like they were trying to cram a plot down your throat that wasn't there (*cough*Transformers*cough*). The special effects were really awesome, as was to be expected, and i think even though the main actor was just out of rehab he still did a great job. I think the obvious comparison for the movie is the other recent(relatively) movie of the same type: Transformers. Now, while i'm sure a bunch of Transformers nerds will murder me and rape my remains for this, i think that Iron Man was better than Transformers. This is because for both movies people came to see stuff blow up, and in both movies the special effects and action scenes were AWESOME, but i just think that the non-action scenes in between explosions were better done in Iron Man than in Transformers.
Anyways, last night i also went to a lacrosse game at the Pepsi Center with Aperture Droid (whose real name is Peter, btw). It was really awesome. I'd never been to a lacrosse game before, and i realize now that lacrosse is essentially hockey with airborne projectiles and looser penalty rules, but it was still a new experience for me. I got to sit in a box too, which was really cool :) For one thing the game was fun for the same reasons any sporting event is, but also i got to see a couple of players hit each other with their equipment. I don't know if this is a coincidence or what, but there were also several memes referenced at the game: everybody had a cowbell and the anouncer even once said "we need more cowbell," the anouncer said "THIS IS LAAAAACCRROOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSEEEEEE!" and the "THIS IS SPARTA" guy(supposedly Leodinas) appeared one the screen thingy at one point, and there were even Chuck Norris jokes told by the anouncer. All-in-all, it was a ton of fun, complete with internet references and Churros ( i love churros) which i bought at a concession stand. The other reason the game was different from my other sports experiences was because we had box seats. There were really only a few differences from regular seats:
1. We had a PERFECT view, like even better then if we'd had floor seats.
2. The seats were bigger, and padded. So i wasn't raping my friend every time i stood up like happens when you're crammed into the normal seats.
3. There was free food: chips, sammiches, sodas, and even cake! (though it was a lie).
4. There was a bathroom in the box, so i no longer risked incurring severe bladder damage by staying for the whole game. I could get up, take a piss, and sit back down in under 20 seconds: without rushing.
Anyways, that was my weekend, and now i'm exhausted. I'd reccomend Iron Man to anybody with nothing to do on a weekend afternoon, and while it sucked that we (the Colorado Mammoth) lost the lacrosse game, it didn't ruin the game.
